Baseball Recap: Botkins Takes a Loss

After flying high against Troy Christian on Tuesday, Botkins came back down to earth. The Trojans lost 10-3 to the Shawnee Indians on Wednesday.

Hudson Meyer made the most of his time in the batter's box despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with two stolen bases and one run. He has become a key player for Botkins: the team is 2-1 when he posts at least two stolen bases, but 7-12 otherwise. Will Monnin was another key player, going 2-for-4 with one stolen base and one run.

Botkins' loss dropped their record down to 9-13. As for Shawnee, their victory bumped their record up to 4-15.

Looking ahead, Botkins will welcome Houston at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Shawnee, they are taking a road trip to take on Crestview at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
