Madison Central took down Clinton 44-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Joseph Willis threw for 289 yards and 3 touchdowns and ran for 34 yards during the win.
Greenville-Weston made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 6,005 from 7,281. The improvement was the result of a 33-13 victory over the Hornets last week.
He went 19-25 with 0 interception.
Marquisian Chapman was the best running back in 6A Region 2 this week. In 24 carries, he ran for 179 yards as Murrah topped the Arrows. Teammate Malik Dear added to the ground attack by rushing for 122 yards.
Leading the league in both passing and receiving yards, Madison Central's Willis and Barnes have proven to be a lethal combination. Willis has thrown for 1,054 yards this season, while Barnes, a 6-foot-3 receiver, has 32 catches for 560 yards. The Mustangs' Chapman leads the league in rushing yards with 806.
Fans will be treated to a premier battle in the secondary when Bobby Hall's team's Barnes goes up against Murrah's Kelvin Smith.
Next week's game between the Jaguars and Zackare grady's team will feature a good passing match up as Willis will test his arm against Smith's defensive ability.
At the moment, the Mustangs are in fourth, while Madison Central is in third.
