Even though the Greenfield Knights scored an imposing 66 points on Friday, the Blue Ridge Barons still came out on top. Blue Ridge strolled past Greenfield with points to spare, taking the game 84-66. The win made it back-to-back wins for Blue Ridge.
Shanon Simango was the offensive standout of the game as he dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Kamren Martin, who scored 12 points along with 8 rebounds and 6 assists.
Blue Ridge's victory bumped their record up to 2-0. As for Greenfield, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-3.
Blue Ridge will square off against The Burlington School at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday. The Burlington School knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past nine matches -- so hopefully Blue Ridge likes a good challenge. As for Greenfield, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Landstown at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday.
