After soaring to 61 points the game before, the Kentridge Chargers were a bit more limited in their contest on Thursday. They took a serious blow against Bothell, falling 61-23. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Kentridge has scored all season.
Despite the defeat, Kentridge had strong showings from Sydney Esperanza, who scored five points along with seven rebounds, and Jayla Keowla, who scored three points. Those seven rebounds set a new season-high mark for her.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Kentridge struggled to work together and finished the game with only two assists. That's the fewest assists they've managed all season.
Kentridge's defeat dropped their record down to 7-2. As for Bothell, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six contests, which provided a nice bump to their 7-2 record this season.
