Mak George and Kalleigh Offill made a big impact no matter where they played. On the mound, George tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Meanwhile, Offill pitched five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off six hits. At bat, George went 3-for-5 with two doubles and two RBI, while Offill went 2-for-5 with three RBI and one triple. Those two doubles gave George a new career-high.
In other batting news, Fairborn got a massive performance out of Lillee Walters, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Walters is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Another player making a difference was Ali Ison, who went 2-for-4 with four runs, one double, and one RBI.
Fairborn was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .462. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .395 or higher in seven consecutive games.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Butler). Everything went their way against West Carrollton on Monday as they made off with a 15-4 victory. The Aviators haven't had any issues with the Pirates recently, as the game was their seventh consecutive win against them.
Lily Antos was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out six over 4.2 innings pitched. Antos was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Those hits were her first of the season.
In other batting news, Jami Brockert was incredible, going 2-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI. Rylie Williamson was another key player, going a perfect 2-for-2 with one triple, two RBI, and one run.
Butler picked up their first road victory, bumping their record up to 2-12. As for Fairborn, they now have a winning record of 6-5.
Butler's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Fairborn has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 13.1 hits per game. It's a different story for Butler, though, as they've been averaging 10.1 hits. Given Fairborn's sizable advantage in that area, the Aviators will need to find a way to close that gap.
Fairborn suffered a grim 9-3 defeat to Butler when the teams last played back in April of 2025. Will the Skyhawks have more luck at home instead of on the road? Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
