Make it seven blowout wins for the Fountain Hills Falcons this season. They simply couldn't be stopped on Tuesday as they easily beat Chino Valley 70-42 at home. The win was nothing new for Fountain Hills as they're now sitting on three straight.
It was another big night for Keaton Ort, who scored 21 points along with two steals. He has been hot recently, having posted 15 or more points the last nine times he's played. Gavin Hicks was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds.
Chino Valley lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Hector Vasquez, who scored ten points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Vasquez has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Javier Johns, who scored eight points.
Fountain Hills' win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-7. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 69.8 points per game. As for Chino Valley, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-11.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fountain Hills the luxury of staying home another game and will welcome Camp Verde at 7:00 p.m. on January 27th. Camp Verde has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 339 points over their last five matches. As for Chino Valley, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Bourgade Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arizona (Bourgade Catholic is ranked 294th, while Chino Valley is ranked 280th).
