Anthony Jeffery Crosses Big Stat Threshold
Starting off the list is Thomson's Anthony Jeffery, who we judged to be the best player in the league this week. Jeffery rushed for 234 yards and four touchdowns on only ten carries. Thanks to that strong showing, he's now averaging 2.2 rushing touchdowns per game. The dominant performance gave him a new career-high in rushing yards.
Unfortunately for Glenn Hills, this isn't the first big game they've seen from Jeffery. Jeffery picked up 38 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 31 yards and a touchdown the last time he and the Spartans duked it out back in October of 2023.

On Friday, Burke County got the W thanks in part to A'Merre Williams playing the best football he has all season. Williams rushed for 148 yards and four touchdowns on only five carries, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
Burke County's victory was their sixth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 5-1. Williams and Burke County will face off against Glenn Hills at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.

Jaris Sinkfield Turns in Season-Best Effort
Thomson was led to victory by Jaris Sinkfield, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Sinkfield picked up 101 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also rushed for 62 yards and a touchdown. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 62 yards.
For the year, Sinkfield has caught 5 touchdowns while averaging 55.7 receiving yards per game. He is looking even better than he did last year: after six games last season, he was only averaging 6.5 receiving yards per game.

Burke County was led to victory by Cordarius Free, who turned in his biggest game of the season on Friday. Free rushed for 70 yards and a touchdown, good enough to set a new career-high in rushing yards in the process.
For the year, Free has run in those 1 touchdown while averaging 21.3 rushing yards per game. He's made a big improvement compared to last season: at this point last year, he was only averaging 9.33 rushing yards per game.
