Leading Belleville West to victory were Brandon Scott and David Marshall jr.. Scott scored 19 points along with three steals, while Marshall jr. scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. Scott continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Daylen Byrd was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds.
Lift for Life Academy has been struggling recently, as they've lost eight of their last ten games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-11 record this season. As for Belleville West, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-11.
Lift for Life Academy will look to defend their home court on Tuesday against Miller Career Academy at 6:00 p.m. Miller Career Academy has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 450 points over their last seven contests. As for Belleville West, they will take on McCluer at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. McCluer will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in their respective state's rankings (they are ranked 318th in Missouri, while Belleville West is ranked 153rd in Illinois).
