Even though the Rockford Rockets have not done well against the Litchfield Dragons recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Rockford managed a 42-38 victory over Litchfield. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Rockford.
Rockford can attribute much of their success to Kaycie Roggenkamp, who scored eight points. Roggenkamp continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played.
Rockford's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Litchfield, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-10.
Rockford will be playing in front of their home fans against Spectrum at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Litchfield's road trip will continue as they head out to face Glencoe-Silver Lake at 7:00 p.m. on January 16th. One thing working in Glencoe-Silver Lake's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last six games.
