The Harvest Prep Academy Eagle's's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Monday after their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They fell 49-42 to Tohono O'Odham.
Several Eagle players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was KJ Legette, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 19 rebounds. Leo Cordova was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with three steals.
Harvest Prep Academy's defeat was their third straight at home dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-2. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 27.7 points per game. As for Tohono O'Odham, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 1-5.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Harvest Prep Academy will take on Arizona Cultural Academy at 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday. Tohono O'Odham won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Skyline - Gila River at 6:30 p.m. on December 12th. Skyline - Gila River presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Tohono O'Odham in Arizona (Skyline - Gila River is ranked 55th, while Tohono O'Odham is ranked 261st).
