The Standing Bear Grizzlies will face off against the Beatrice Orangemen at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Standing Bear will be strutting in after a win while Beatrice will be coming in after a loss.
On Saturday, Standing Bear was able to grind out a solid victory over Hastings, taking the game 2-0.
Standing Bear easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-21.

Standing Bear can attribute much of their success to Reese Pedersen, who had 11 digs and two assists, and Lindyn Stutzman, who had 21 assists. Stutzman has been hot, having posted 21 or more assists the last five times she's played.
Meanwhile, Beatrice lost 3-0 to Lincoln Northwest on Thursday.
Beatrice was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the third set very close. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-16, 25-22.
Standing Bear will have to contain Kara Schuster as she made an impact in Beatrice's last game. She had 13 digs and two assists.
Standing Bear's win ended a three-match drought at home and bumped them up to 16-15. As for Beatrice, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-18.
Here's a few offensive stats to keep an eye on ahead of Tuesday's contest: Standing Bear has really dialed in their serving this season, having averaged 6.8 aces per game. However, it's not like Beatrice struggles in that department as they've been averaging 5.1 aces. Given these competing strengths, it'll be interesting to see how their clash plays out.
Everything went Standing Bear's way against Beatrice when the teams last played back in October of 2024, as Standing Bear made off with a 3-0 victory. Do the Grizzlies have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Orangemen turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
