Sterling has gone a perfect 6-0 against Fort Lupton recently and they'll look to pad the win column further on Friday. The Tigers will face off against the Bluedevils at 7:00 p.m. Fort Lupton took a loss in their last contest and will be looking to turn the tables on Sterling, who comes in off a win.
Sterling will roll into the matchup after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up six points last Friday, then bounced right back against Arvada on Friday. The Tigers simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat the Bulldogs 42-8. The win continues a trend for the Tigers in their matchups with the Bulldogs: they've now won three in a row.

Hunter Hershfeldt produced another solid performance picking up 170 receiving yards and a pair of TDs, while also rushing for 35 yards and one touchdown. Sterling is undefeated when Hershfeldt posts 80 or more receiving yards, but 0-4 otherwise. Braydon Evans was another key player, rushing for 74 yards and a pair of scores on only seven carries.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Sterling was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 264 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've posted since back in October of 2024.
Meanwhile, Fort Lupton played a tough game on Friday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They took a blow against Brush, falling 54-15. The loss continues a trend for the Bluedevils in their meetings with the Beetdiggers: they've now lost eight in a row.
Despite the defeat, Fort Lupton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Ilian Tovar picked up 160 receiving yards and one TD.
Fort Lupton's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Sterling, their victory bumped their record up to 3-4.
Friday's contest might be decided in the trenches. Sterling has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 199 rushing yards per game. It's a different story for Fort Lupton, though, as they've been averaging only 56.7 rushing yards. How will they fare against such a dominant running game?
