There's no place like home for the Green County Dragons, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 71-52 win over Campbellsville on Tuesday. For Green County, this counts as revenge for the 48-40 loss Campbellsville walked away with the last time they faced one another back in January of 2022.
Despite the defeat, Campbellsville saw an underclassman step up: Cayton Lawhorn scored 18 points along with five rebounds. That's the first time this season that Lawhorn scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Christian Hart, who scored eight points.
Green County's victory bumped their record up to 9-7. As for Campbellsville, their loss dropped their record down to 6-10.
Green County will head out on the road to face off against Meade County at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Campbellsville, they will be playing at home against Bethlehem at 7:30 p.m. on Monday.
