The Louisville Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their seventh straight loss. They took a 46-32 bruising from Kosciusko. The result shouldn't come as a shock considering that's the fewest points Louisville has scored all season.
Kosciusko's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cory Guyton led the charge by scoring 14 points along with four steals. Guyton is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. Another player making a difference was Jeremi Wilkes, who scored 11 points along with seven rebounds.
Louisville's loss was their ninth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 6-13. As for Kosciusko, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 17-6 record this season.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Louisville will square off against Greenwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Kosciusko, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Caledonia at 8:30 p.m. on January 27th.
