Fremont is 7-2 against Bonneville since December of 2014, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Thursday. The Fremont Silverwolves will finish 2023 at home by hosting the Bonneville Lakers at 2:00 p.m. Expect the scorekeeper to be kept busy: if their previous games are any indication, the two teams will really light up the scoreboard.
Fremont had to endure a three-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They walked away with a 68-58 win over Sky View on Thursday.
Fremont had a senior duo take command as Tyler Allen scored 23 points and Hunter Hansen scored 20 points along with nine rebounds and four steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which Hansen has scored at least 25% of Fremont's points. Ryker Saunders was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with six assists.
Meanwhile, Bonneville scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Wednesday. They strolled past Ogden with points to spare, taking the game 79-62. That's two games straight that Bonneville has won by exactly 17 points.
Fremont's win bumped their record up to 7-4. As for Bonneville, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Fremont was able to grind out a solid victory over Bonneville in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, winning 62-51. Will Fremont repeat their success, or does Bonneville have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
