The Goshen Eagles lost against the McKenzie Tigers back in December of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Friday. Goshen was outmatched by McKenzie on the road and fell 73-38. Goshen has not had much luck with McKenzie recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
McKenzie can attribute much of their success to Quay Jackson, who scored 30 points along with 5 rebounds and 3 steals. The matchup was Jackson's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Mcmillian, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 11 rebounds.
Goshen's loss dropped their record down to 0-2. As for McKenzie, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 3-0.
Coincidentally, the pair will both be playing Brantley the next time they take the court. Goshen will host Brantley at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, while McKenzie will head out to face them at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
