Career Success was the team that gained the most ground in the standings this week, jumping from eighth to third in Charter 3A (8 Man). Career Success vanquished Career Success 36-32 earlier in the week.
NFL Yet Academy extended the longest winning streak in the league this week by beating Career Success, 36-32. The victory was the fifth in a row for NFL Yet Academy.
Mohave Accelerated's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Clay Merrigan threw for 27 yards and Tyler Van Mullen had 18 yards receiving. On the ground Dominick Issacson chipped in 25 yards. Khari Buckley helped Mohave Accelerated's passing attack out by catching two balls for nine yards.
NFL Yet Academy's Armando Ruiz Jr. and Leroy Pete have formed a dynamic duo this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Ruiz Jr. has thrown for 561 yards this season, while Pete, a 5-foot-11 receiver, has 11 catches for 279 yards. Issacson from the Patriots leads the league in rushing with 300 yards.
A big matchup in Charter 3A (8 Man) this week will be when NFL Yet Academy takes on Crestview College Prep. At the moment, NFL Yet Academy is in first, while the Knights are in eighth.
