It was a close one, but on Friday Woodbridge sidestepped New Brunswick for a 20-18 win.
Woodbridge got off to a sluggish start, posting 0 total points in the first half. That left them at a 0-12 disadvantage. In the second half, however, Woodbridge's defense made a stand and allowed a meager 6 points.
No one put up better numbers for Woodbridge than sophomore Ali Lee jr, who brought his A game into the match. He rushed for 157 yards and 2 touchdowns. The win got them back to even at 1-1. The loss dropped New Brunswick's record to 0-1.
Both teams are staying within the conference for their upcoming matches. Next week Woodbridge take on Sayreville . As for New Brunswick, they will face off against Monroe Township.
