The biggest upset of the week belonged to Lowell Catholic, who took down 152nd ranked Lowell Catholic, 24-16.
Pope John XXIII extended the longest winning streak in Catholic Central - Small this week by beating Pope John Paul II, 51-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Tigers.
Joe D'onofrio was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 13 carries, he ran for 138 yards as Pope John XXIII beat Pope John Paul II. Teammate Thomas Woodward added to the ground attack by rushing for 29 yards.
Mike Sullivan provided a threat through the air and on the ground as Brian Vaughan's team defeated Pope John Paul II. He completed 12 passes for 255 yards and two touchdowns and also ran for 21 yards. Sullivan's favorite target this week was Wilkerson, who caught three passes for 98 yards.
Andrew Sharkey threw for 235 yards and three touchdowns. He went 15-26 with two interceptions.
Pope John XXIII's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Sullivan has thrown for 1685 yards and 18 touchdowns this season, while Khaneil Bruce has 54 catches for 899 yards. D'onofrio leads the league in rushing with 1050 yards.
A big matchup in Catholic Central - Small this week will be when the Tigers take on Cathedral. Pope John XXIII is currently in third, while the Panthers are in second.
The Tigers took down Pope John Paul II 51-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Sullivan in the win.
