The North Hills Indians had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 9 points), and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They walked away with a 64-57 victory over Mars. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Despite the loss, Mars still got an impressive performance from Ryan Ceh, who scored 24 points along with three blocks. Ceh is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last 15 games he's played. Remi Black was another key contributor, scoring six points along with nine rebounds and five assists.
North Hills' win was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-7. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.3 points per game. As for Mars, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 9-8.
North Hills won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Belle Vernon at 1:30 p.m. on January 27th. Belle Vernon has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 416 points over their last six games. Mars will be staying on the road on Sunday to face off against Taylor Allderdice at 2:00 p.m. on January 28th. Taylor Allderdice will be looking to extend their current seven-game winning streak.
