The Kofa Kings entered their tilt with the Glendale Cardinals with two consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with three. Kofa strolled past Glendale with points to spare on Thursday, taking the game 46-31. That's another feather in the cap for Kofa, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Leading Kofa to victory were Shantal Montiel and Amani Montiel. Montiel scored 17 points along with six rebounds and five assists, while Montiel scored 15 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Montiel has scored at least 25% of Kofa's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Michelle Noriega, who scored two points along with 14 rebounds.
Kofa is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games, which provided a massive bump to their 6-7 record this season. As for Glendale, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-7.
Kofa won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Copper Canyon at 5:30 p.m. on January 12th. Copper Canyon has insisted on making their lastfour contests complete nail-biters, turning in a record of 2-2 during that stretch of close contests. As for Glendale, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Youngker at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
