On Friday, The Oregon City Pioneers faced the Tualatin Timberwolves in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Oregon City took a hard 46-30 fall against Tualatin. Oregon City's defeat continues a unfortunate trend for the squad, making it three in a row.
Several Pioneers players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ben Schneider, who threw for 287 yards and four touchdowns.
Oregon City's loss dropped their record down to 5-3. As for Tualatin, their victory bumped their record up to 6-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Oregon City will face off against West Linn at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. West Linn has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 361 points over their last eight contests. Tualatin is on the road again on Friday and play against Tigard at 7:00 p.m. on October 27th. Tigard is coming into the game on a four-game losing streak.
