On Thursday, Cornerstone Charter Academy came up short against Mount Dora and fell 42-34.
Several Ducks players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Olivia Hancock, who scored 10 points. Aalisha Jackson was another key contributor, scoring 8 points.
Cornerstone Charter Academy's loss dropped their record down to 1-1. As for Mount Dora, the win got them back to even at 1-1.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cornerstone Charter Academy will challenge The First Academy at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. Hopefully The First Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 20 on Tuesday. Mount Dora won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Umatilla at 6:00 p.m. on December 1st.
