Baseball Game Preview: Ganado Indians vs. Louise Hornets

The Ganado Indians will take on the Louise Hornets at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Ganado is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.9 runs per game this season.

Ganado took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They never let Bloomington get on the board and left with a 27-0 win. The Indians haven't had any issues with the Bobcats/Lady Cats recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Luke Reid made a splash no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out ten over four innings pitched. What's more, he gave up only zero hits, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024. He was also big at the plate, scoring a run while going 3-for-4. Those three hits gave him a new career-high.

In other batting news, Ganado got a massive performance out of Callen Hajovsky, who went 3-for-4 with four runs, four RBI, and one double. Hajovsky has become a key player for Ganado: the team is undefeated when he posts at least three RBI, but 2-8-1 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Luke Bures, who scored four runs while going 3-for-3.

Ganado always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .786. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Meanwhile, Louise was not able to break out of their rough patch back in March as the team picked up their eighth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 20-0 to Shiner.

Louise's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Ganado, their win bumped their record up to 5-8-1.

Everything went Ganado's way against Louise in their previous matchup back in March, as Ganado made off with a 27-0 victory. Will Ganado repeat their success, or does Louise has a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
