The Odem Owls were handed a two-point loss in their last game, but they sure didn't let that happen against the George West Longhorns on Tuesday. Everything went Odem's way against George West as Odem made off with a 52-30 win. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Odem also won the last time the pair played last Friday.
Despite the loss, George West still got an impressive performance from Tristen Blevins, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and 12 rebounds. Blevins also posted two blocks for the first time this season.
Odem's win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 14-17. As for George West, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-17.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Odem will take on Aransas Pass at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Aransas Pass is coming into the game with four straight wins on the road, meaning Odem will have to defend against a squad hungry for a win. As for George West, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Goliad at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully George West focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 24 on Tuesday.
