The Skyline Vikings will head out on the road to face off against the Oakwood Academy Mustangs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. One thing working in Skyline's favor is that they have posted big point totals every time they've taken the court this season.
Last Monday, Skyline made easy work of Athens Bible and carried off a 70-46 win.
Meanwhile, winning is just a little bit easier when you work as a team to rack up eight more assists than your opponent, a fact Oakwood Academy proved on Monday. They narrowly escaped with a win as the squad sidled past Tanner 46-44.
Among those leading the charge was Will Lewis, who scored 17 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Jadon Williams, who scored 9 points along with 14 rebounds.
Skyline has yet to lose a game on the road this season, leaving them with a 4-0 record. As for Oakwood Academy, the win got them back to even at 4-4.
Skyline came up short against Oakwood Academy when the teams last played back in February, falling 58-50. Can Skyline avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
