The Ninety Six Wildcats will challenge the Saluda Tigers at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. Both teams are coming into the game red-hot, with Ninety Six sitting on six straight victories and Saluda on four.
Ninety Six barely beat Pelion the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Wildcats put the hurt on the Panthers with a sharp 14-3 win on Friday. The result was nothing new for the Wildcats, who have now won 15 matches by six runs or more so far this season.

Meghan Kimberling spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered three earned runs on six hits. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in five consecutive appearances.
At the plate, Jocelyn Coleman was incredible, going 4-for-5 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April. The team also got some help courtesy of Evie Montgomery, who went 3-for-5 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
They weren't the only ones making solid contact: Ninety Six kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 20 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, it's playoff time, and Saluda had no trouble coming through when it counted. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Chesnee 2-0.
Not much got past Miller Martin, who gave up just two hits and racked up eight Ks to keep Chesnee off the board.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Jayme Sheaffer, who went 1-for-3 with one home run.
Ninety Six's win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 21-5. The road victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.3 runs on average over those games. As for Saluda, their record is now 21-4-1.
Both Ninety Six and Saluda just can't seem to miss. The Wildcats have been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 11.7 hits per game. However, it's not like Saluda struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.7 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Ninety Six came out on top in a nail-biter against Saluda when the teams last played back in April, sneaking past 2-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
