International High School at Largo was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their 24th straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Potomac Wolverines and fell 95-8. The Sea Turtles were not able to make up for their loss to the Wolverines from their previous meeting back in December of 2023.
Potomac was led to victory by Darveon Wiley and Korie Cobham Jr. Wiley en route to 27 points along with six assists and six boards, while Cobham Jr dropped a double-double with 13 points and 13 rebounds. Cobham Jr is becoming a predictor of Potomac's success: when he posts at least eight boards the team is 5-2 (and 3-12 when he doesn't). Christain Crusoe was another key player, putting up six points in addition to eight rebounds and five steals.
International High School at Largo's defeat dropped their record down to 0-14. As for Potomac, their victory bumped their record up to 8-14.
