The Bangs Dragons will head out on the road to face off against the Strawn Greyhounds at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Bangs unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a 54-37 bruising from Hamilton. While losing is never fun, Bangs can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas basketball rankings (they are ranked 666th, while Hamilton is ranked 302nd).
Meanwhile, it's never fun to lose, and it's even less fun to lose 63-34, which was the final score in Strawn's tilt against Huckabay on Friday. Strawn has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Bangs' defeat dropped their record down to 8-7. As for Strawn, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Bangs strolled past Strawn in their previous matchup back in December of 2022 by a score of 60-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bangs since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
