The Los Angeles Leadership Academy Lions were the 36-26 winner over The School of Los Angeles when they last played one another back in November of 2023, but their luck changed this time around. Los Angeles Leadership Academy was just a bucket shy of victory on Friday and fell 40-39 to The School of Los Angeles.
Several Lions players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Oscar Hernandez, who scored 15 points along with four steals. Another player making a difference was Joshua Ramirez, who scored 13 points along with five rebounds.
Los Angeles Leadership Academy now has a losing record at 5-6. As for The School of Los Angeles, their victory bumped their record up to 2-5.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Los Angeles Leadership Academy and Camino Nuevo Dalzell Lance Campus will face off at 2:00 p.m. on January 18th without much rest after finishing up games yesterday. As for The School of Los Angeles, they will look to defend their home court on Saturday against Stern at 2:30 p.m.
