In what's become a running theme this season, the Calhoun County Saints gave their fans yet another huge victory on Tuesday. They blew past Wagener-Salley 79-20 at home. That looming 79-20 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Calhoun County yet this season.
Kerron Scott continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points. Another player making a difference was Jayden Wallace, who scored 13 points.
Calhoun County's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-6. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 73.0 points per game. As for Wagener-Salley, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-13.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Calhoun County will square off against Denmark-Olar at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. Denmark-Olar knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with flashy point totals in its past eight contests -- so hopefully Calhoun County likes a good challenge. Wagener-Salley will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against North at 7:30 p.m. on January 25th. North will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
