The Cedarcrest Red Wolves will take on the Interlake Saints at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Cedarcrest is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last nine games.
Last Friday, Cedarcrest made easy work of Highline and carried off a 14-2 win. The Red Wolves might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won nine contests by seven runs or more this season.

Murphy Vliem

04/04/25 vs Evergreen | 2 |
03/26/25 vs Foster | 2 |
04/05/25 @ Lindbergh | 1 |
03/24/25 @ Interlake | 1 |
The team relied heavily on Murphy Vliem, who went 3-for-4 with four RBI, two runs, and one triple. Those four RBI gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Braden Bottemiller, who scored three runs and stole a base while getting on base in four of his five plate appearances.
Cedarcrest always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Highline only posted an OBP of .360.
Meanwhile, Interlake beat Tyee 9-6 on Friday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Saints.
Eric Wallin looked comfortable as he struck out seven batters over 3.1 innings while giving up just one earned (and one unearned) run off three hits (and not a single walk). He is becoming a predictor of Interlake's success: when he allows at most three earned runs the team is 5-2 (and 3-4 when he doesn't).
At the plate, Sam Haufe was incredible, scoring four runs and stealing two bases while going 3-for-4. Interlake is undefeated when Haufe posts two or more stolen bases, but 4-6 otherwise. Another player making a difference was Alex Diaz, who scored a run and stole a base while going 1-for-4.
Cedarcrest pushed their record up to 12-2 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. Those road wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.8 runs on average over those games. As for Interlake, their victory bumped their record up to 8-6.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Cedarcrest has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 4.5 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Interlake struggles in that department as they've been averaging 4.1 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
