Basketball Game Preview: Tattnall Square Academy Trojans vs. John Milledge Academy Trojans

The Tattnall Square Academy Trojans will head out to square off against the John Milledge Academy Trojans at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday. Tattnall Square Academy knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past 11 matchups -- so hopefully John Milledge Academy likes a good challenge.

Tattnall Square Academy took a loss when they played away from home two weeks ago, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They breezed by Piedmont Academy to the tune of 79-43. Given the Trojans' advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia basketball rankings (they are ranked 181st, while the Cougars are ranked 511th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Antone Johnson continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, putting up 32 points. His evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Drew Bacchus, who posted 15 points.

Meanwhile, John Milledge Academy came up short against Stratford Academy on Tuesday and fell 57-47. The Trojans have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Tattnall Square Academy has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 9-2 record this season. As for John Milledge Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-6.

Tattnall Square Academy didn't have too much breathing room in their contest against John Milledge Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 55-50 victory. Will Tattnall Square Academy repeat their success, or does John Milledge Academy have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
