West Rowan has won five straight games at home, while North Iredell has won five straight on the road, but those streaks won't matter much on Monday. The West Rowan Falcons will host the North Iredell Raiders at 7:00 p.m. The two teams have allowed few runs on average, (West Rowan 2.1, North Iredell 2.6) so any runs scored will be well earned.
On Friday, West Rowan earned a 9-5 victory over Northwest Cabarrus. That's two games straight that the Falcons have won by exactly four runs.

Cole Blevins made a big impact while hitting and pitching. He struck out 11 batters over 4.2 innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in three consecutive appearances. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
In other batting news, Brody Pope and Maddox Moore did most of the damage at the plate: Pope scored two runs while going 3-for-3, while Moore scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances. Moore has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Brice Knox, who scored a run and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
West Rowan always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .583. The last time their OBP was this high was back in March of 2024.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask North Iredell). Everything went their way against Mount Airy on Wednesday as North Iredell made off with a 14-3 win. While the Raiders didn't have the best season last year (they finished 6-14), it's starting to look like those struggles are a thing of the past.
Thomas Shumaker was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-4. Another player making a difference was Josiah Heindl, who went 1-for-4 with one home run and four RBI.
North Iredell's victory bumped their record up to 6-1. As for West Rowan, their win bumped their record up to 8-1.
Both the two teams just can't seem to miss. West Rowan has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 9.9 hits per game. However, it's not like North Iredell struggles in that department as they've been averaging only 3.4 hits. With both teams so capable at the plate, fans should be ready for an impressive hitting performance.
Everything went West Rowan's way against North Iredell in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, as West Rowan made off with a 6-0 victory. Does West Rowan have another victory up their sleeve, or will North Iredell turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
