With a playoff game on the line, the Warren Bears rose to the challenge on Friday. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 36-35 victory over the Eagles. Winning may never get old, but Warren sure are getting used to it with their ninth in a row.
Leading Warren to victory were Madden Iamaleava and Jordan Ross. Iamaleava threw for 347 yards and three touchdowns, while Ross picked up 251 receiving yards and three touchdowns. Ross' longest reception was for an incredible 90 yards.
Marquis Jones and Seth Shigg certainly did their best on Friday to try and avoid the loss. Jones rushed for 102 yards and three touchdowns, while Shigg picked up 36 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Warren pushed their record up to 11-2 with that win, which was their fourth straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 40.0 points per game. As for Chaminade, their defeat dropped their record down to 7-6.
Warren will head out on the road to face off against St. Bonaventure at 7:00 p.m. on November 25th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in California (St. Bonaventure is ranked 31st, while Warren is ranked 34th). Chaminade does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
