4A Region IV District 26 recap Oct. 30, 2012
Eastside Memorial extended the longest winning streak in 4A Region IV District 26 this week by beating Hawkins, 38-0. The win marks fifth in a row for the Eastside Memorial.
Darrell Crayton's team took down the Wolfpack 38-0 last week, the largest margin of any game.
Travis's dynamic duo of Johnathon Caldwell and Johnny Williams proved tough for Reagan to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Caldwell threw for 380 yards and four touchdowns and Williams had 154 yards receiving. Juan Garza helped Travis' passing attack out by catching three balls for 109 yards.
Melvin Kincheon was the most productive running back in the league this week. He ran for 64 yards on five carries as the Raiders bested the Raiders. Demetrius Johnson also contributed to the rushing game with 24 yards on the ground.
Travis' offense has been unstoppable this season and the Rebels feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Caldwell has thrown for 1751 yards and 21 touchdowns this season, while Williams has 52 catches for 793 yards. Chris Clark leads the league in rushing with 687 yards.
A big matchup in 4A Region IV District 26 this week will be when Travis takes on LBJ Austin. At the moment, Armando Jacinto's team is in first, while the Jaguars are in fourth.
Eastside Memorial led the league in scoring this week after putting up 38 points on Hawkins.
