After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Delta, the Eagle Ridge Christian Eagles were happy to have found some success on Thursday. They came out on top against Viburnum by a score of 67-60. Having run the score up that high, both teams might be doing some extra defensive drills very soon.
Eagle Ridge Christian got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Chase WIlliams out in front who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 22 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points WIlliams has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Caleb Margrabe, who scored 20 points.
Eagle Ridge Christian now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Viburnum, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-10.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Eagle Ridge Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Thomas Jefferson School at 6:30 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully Thomas Jefferson School focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 29 back in December of 2023. As for Viburnum, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cuba at 6:30 a.m. on Tuesday. Cuba presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Viburnum in Missouri (Cuba is ranked 271st, while Viburnum is ranked 562nd).
