For Horizon Science Academy, this counts as revenge for the 49-46 loss Lawrence Upper walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.
Lawrence Upper's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Dominic Bell, who scored 6 points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Jackson, who scored 6 points.
Horizon Science Academy's win bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Lawrence Upper, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 0-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Horizon Science Academy will take on Westside Christian Academy at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Lawrence Upper, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Academy for Urban Scholars at 5:00 p.m.
