Baseball Recap: Strasburg Picks Up Third Consecutive Win

Strasburg waltzed into their contest on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Page County Panthers as they made off with a 16-1 win. Considering the Rams have won nine games by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Ryan Reynolds was a standout: he got on base in all five of his plate appearances with three runs, three RBI, and one double. The team also got some help courtesy of Brady Flynn, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with three RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

Strasburg always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .575. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Page County only posted an OBP of .318.

Strasburg's record is now 15-2. As for Page County, their loss was their third straight at home, which dropped their record down to 3-14.

Looking ahead, Strasburg will square off against Luray at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Page County, they will take on Stonewall Jackson at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers are facing the Generals at the right time seeing as the Generals are stuck on a nine-game losing streak.
