Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Jefferson County to victory, but perhaps none more so than Omarian Mills, who rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns on only 12 carries. Skylar Thomas was in the mix too, providing Jefferson County with two touchdowns.
Jefferson County's win was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their overall record up to 8-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 38.5 points per game. As for Cocke County, they are on a eight-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Jefferson County will be playing in front of their home fans against William Blount at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. William Blount will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings (they are ranked 125th, while Jefferson County is ranked 19th). As for Cocke County, they will head out on the road to face off against Morristown-Hamblen West at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
