The West Branch Warriors can now show off 13 landslide victories after their most recent game on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 50-21 win over Austintown-Fitch at home. The win was familiar territory for West Branch who now have eight in a row.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Austintown-Fitch struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only three offensive rebounds. That's the fewest offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
West Branch pushed their record up to 17-2 with that victory, which was their fourth straight at home. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 55.0 points per game. As for Austintown-Fitch, they have not been sharp recently as the team has lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 12-7 record this season.
West Branch will head out on the road to square off against Norton at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Norton will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Ohio Rankings (they are ranked 206th, while West Branch is ranked 21st). As for Austintown-Fitch, they will be playing in front of their home fans against South Range at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. Hopefully Austintown-Fitch is not getting complacent considering they own a much higher rank in Ohio (they are ranked 119th, while South Range is ranked 450th).
