Volleyball Recap: Winterboro Escapes with a Win + How To Watch

Winterboro was handed a three-set loss in their previous outing, but that didn't affect their clutch gene on Tuesday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Fayetteville Wolves 3-2.

Winterboro took Fayetteville into a fifth set where they got it done with a five-point win. The final set scores came out to 21-25, 25-22, 25-15, 22-25, 15-10.

Isabella Kelley and Caylee Bullard certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Kelley had 25 digs and 20 assists, while Bullard had 34 digs and two aces. Another player making a difference was Marissa McDickinson, who had 14 digs and six kills.

Winterboro has now won four of their last five games at home. That's provided a nice bump to their 5-8 record this season. As for Fayetteville, their defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 12-5.

Coincidentally, Winterboro and Fayetteville will both be playing Alabama School for the Deaf the next time they take the court. The Wolves will head out to face the Silent Warriors at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, while the Bulldogs will play them later in the day, at 6:00 p.m.
