Union had to endure a ten-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They were the clear victor by a 53-31 margin over the Lee Generals on Friday. The Bears' offense stepped up their game for this one, as that was the most points they've scored all season.

Despite the loss, Lee saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kinley Huff posted 12 points and five steals. That was a full 38.7% of Lee's points, marking the 12th time in a row she's had more than a third of the team's points. Claire Sage also deserves some recognition as she scored her first points of the season.

Union's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-4 and their overall record up to 2-10. As for Lee, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-9 record this season.

Union has already played their next game, a 52-42 victory against Eastside on the 20th. As for Lee, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 60-28 win against Thomas Walker on the 18th.
