The Diller-Odell Griffin came into Tuesday's matchup having lost four straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. They blew past Exeter-Milligan/Friend 60-30 on the road on Tuesday. The win was just what Diller-Odell needed coming off of a 50-28 loss in their prior matchup.
It was another big night for Myleigh Weers, who scored 32 points along with five rebounds and four steals. That makes it five consecutive games in which she has scored at least a third of Diller-Odell's points. Baileigh Vilda was another key contributor, scoring eight points along with five rebounds and four steals.
Despite the defeat, Exeter-Milligan/Friend saw an underclassman step up: Aniston Meints scored eight points along with eight rebounds and four blocks. The team also got some help courtesy of Savana Krupicka, who scored nine points along with two steals.
Diller-Odell's victory bumped their record up to 8-6. As for Exeter-Milligan/Friend, their loss dropped their record down to 10-9.
Diller-Odell will be staying on the road on Thursday to face off against Johnson-Brock at 6:00 p.m. on February 1st. Diller-Odell is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune. As for Exeter-Milligan/Friend, they will head out on the road to take on Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Humboldt-Table Rock-Steinauer will roll in looking for their eighth straight victory, something Exeter-Milligan/Friend surely won't give up without a fight.
