The Minerva Lions's recent rough patch got a bit rougher  on Monday after their fifth straight loss. They took a serious blow against Tuscarawas Valley, falling  58-24. Minerva has not had much luck with Tuscarawas Valley recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
 Tuscarawas Valley's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Elli Wallick, who  scored 11 points. Those 11 points set a new season-high mark for her.  Kaleigh Norris was another key contributor,  scoring ten points along with seven  rebounds and three  steals.
 Minerva's loss was  their third straight at home, which  bumped their record down to 2-7. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's  offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 24.3 points per game. As for Tuscarawas Valley, their win bumped their record up to 5-1.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Minerva will be home for the holidays to greet  Malvern at 12:00  p.m.  on Saturday. Tuscarawas Valley will be home for the holidays to greet  Claymont at 7:30  p.m.  on Wednesday. Claymont comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 24 points in their last four games, a trend the  team is of course eager to reverse.
