The Veritas Academy Monarch's's three-game losing streak came to an end on Tuesday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 59-58 win over Lititz Christian. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest win Veritas Academy has managed all season.
Lititz Christian's loss came despite strong showings from Jack Kriebel and Eddie Vega. Kriebel scored 20 points along with eight rebounds, while Vega scored 15 points. That's the first time this season that Vega scored 15 or more points. Another player making a difference was Caeden Harmon, who scored six points along with ten rebounds.
Veritas Academy's win bumped their record up to 1-3. As for Lititz Christian, their loss dropped their record down to 3-2.
Veritas Academy will head out on the road to face off against Coventry Christian at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Coventry Christian is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home. Lititz Christian will be home for the holidays to greet Varsity Opponent at 8:30 p.m. on Thursday.
