Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Brady Carmack and Trey Bennett Lead Frankton to Victory

You're bound to get a positive result if you outscore your opponent every quarter, and that's exactly how it played out for Frankton on Saturday. They took down the Wes-Del Warriors 55-37. With that victory, the Eagles brought their scoring average up to 50.3 points per game.

Frankton was led to victory by Trey Bennett and Brady Carmack. Bennett went 8 for 13 on his way to 18 points in addition to seven boards and three blocks, while Carmack almost dropped a double-double on 21 points and nine rebounds. The match was Carmack's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Wright, who posted six points and six steals.

Despite the loss, Wes-Del still got an impressive performance from Josiah Love, who went 8 of 20 en route to 20 points and five rebounds. Love is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 16 or more in the last three games he's played.

Frankton's win bumped their record up to 5-8. As for Wes-Del, they have also traveled a rocky road recently having lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-8 record this season.

Frankton will venture away from home to challenge Elwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Frankton is facing Elwood at the right time seeing as Elwood is stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Wes-Del, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Randolph Southern at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wes-Del is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 55.2 points per game this season.
