On Saturday, it was close, but Hilton Head Prep ultimately received the gift of a 51-48 win from a begrudging Dolphinssquad.
Leading Hilton Head Prep to victory were Billy Barron and Jason Britschge. Barron scored 14 points, while Britschge dropped a double-double on 16 points and 11 rebounds. That's the first time this season that Britschge scored 15 or more points. Ben Frey was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with seven rebounds.
Hilton Head Prep's victory bumped their record up to 8-3. As for University, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-4.
Hilton Head Prep and King's Ridge Christian will round out the year against one another at 12:30 p.m. on Thursday at. King's Ridge Christian is looking to tack on another W to their three-game streak on the road. University will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Cherokee at 6:30 p.m. on January 2, 2024. Cherokee has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 320 points over their last five matches.
