After both having extra time off, the Riverton Silverwolves and the Bingham Miners will shake off the cobwebs and hit the field against one another at 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Riverton will come into the match with an undefeated record on the line.
Riverton is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Utah's top teams: Lehi, who was ranked fifth at the time (Riverton was ranked first). The Silverwolves blew past the Pioneers 15-2 last Friday. Considering the Silverwolves have won eight contests by more than five runs this season, Friday's blowout was nothing new.

Riverton got a great performance from Kaelyn Flynn as she struck out eight batters over five innings while giving up just two earned runs off five hits. Those eight strikeouts gave Flynn a new career-high.
On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Maggie Hamblin, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and four RBI. That's the most RBI she has posted since back in April of 2024. The team also got some help courtesy of Camryn O'Farrell, who scored four runs and stole a base while going 2-for-3.
Riverton was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .625. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .318 or higher in 13 consecutive games dating back to last season.
Meanwhile, Bingham has relied on a stalwart pitchers averaging 3.27 runs allowed per game, but that average took a hit last Thursday. They lost 19-7 to Herriman. It was the first time this season that the Miners let down their fans at home.
Bingham got a big performance out of Shyann Banasky, who got on base in three of her five plate appearances with one double and one RBI. Zalia Carrillo was another key player, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
Riverton's victory was their fifth straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 11-0. Those home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 13.0 runs over those games. As for Bingham, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-4-2.
Everything went Riverton's way against Bingham when the teams last played back in May of 2024, as Riverton made off with a 12-3 victory. Will the Silverwolves repeat their success, or do the Miners have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
