The St. Patrick Fighting Irish came tearing into Thursday's matchup with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 16.5 points) and they left with even more momentum. They came out on top against St. Stanislaus by a score of 53-42. That's another feather in the cap for St. Patrick, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.
Matt Krass was his usual excellent self, scoring 30 points along with five rebounds and two steals. That makes it 17 consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of St. Patrick's points. Another player making a difference was Alex Triplett, who scored six points along with nine rebounds and three blocks.
St. Patrick is on a roll lately: they've won 15 of their last 18 games, which provided a nice bump to their 20-7 record this season. As for St. Stanislaus, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 11-14.
St. Patrick didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 46-43 victory vs. Tylertown on the 9th. St. Stanislaus does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
